Do I need to register my students?
Depending on your school, your students may be automatically registered and linked to your institution.
Department of Education schools (NSW, QLD, SA)
Students and teachers at DoE schools in NSW, QLD, and SA, can log in with their school login information. These accounts will be read-only (all your information is provided by the DoE).
For more information regarding the arrangement your department has with Grok Academy and a troubleshooting guide, see our additional FAQ page here!
You do not need to register accounts for your students*. When your students log in for the first time, they will appear on your Teacher Dashboard.
Catholic Education Network (CENet)

Schools with SAML2 Single Sign On integration (SSO)
If your school offers SAML2 integration, and wants to setup an integration with Grok please read through our documentation to help get this setup! Otherwise, if your school is already setup with Grok, head to the login page and click "School log in (SSO)" and select your school from the list of institutions shown!
You do not need to register accounts for your students*. When your students log in for the first time, they will appear on your Teacher Dashboard.
Schools with Microsoft or Google integration
Many schools provide or integrate with Microsoft or Google accounts. Students can use these to register with Grok by clicking "Google" or "Microsoft" on the log in page, and log in with their school login information.
We recommend that you register accounts for your students. If you do not, students will have to correctly select their school before they appear on your dashboard. You can do this by following our registration process. This will create accounts for any students who don't yet have one. If they already have an account in our system which is not connected to your school, they won't appear on your dashboard until they next login and accept that they're enrolled in your school.
Grok Login (Email)
Some students don't have access to any of the above options so the reliable email and password situation is still an option for them!
We recommend that you register accounts for your students. If you do not, students will have to correctly select their school before they appear on your dashboard. You can do this by following our registration process. Your students will have accounts created for them, and an email will be sent with instructions for logging in. If they already have an account in our system which is not connected to your school, they won't appear on your dashboard until they next login and accept that they're enrolled in your school.
For your first time, direct students to their email account, open the email we've sent them and follow the instructions.
Grok Login (No email)
As we know for our younger years they may not already have an existing school or home email to use but you may want access to Grok content, as such we provide a way for teachers to create accounts for students using fake emails.
We recommend that you register accounts for your students. To do so, please contact our support team to help get this setup for you!
*Although you do not need to register accounts for your students, we strongly recommend registering them to aid with classroom management on the platform, allowing you to assign work and class groups to them prior to their initial login. For more information see our guide.
