Who can see personal details on the leaderboard?
On competition leaderboards, we have privacy restrictions in place to protect students' data. This means that different personal information is displayed depending on who is viewing. For more information about how students' data is used, see our full privacy policy.
Points Leaderboards
Full names and schools are only visible to other students and teachers at the same institution. Students and teachers at other schools will only see a first name, and the institution will be listed as "A school in [State, Country]" (or [County, State] for the UK).

Tournament Leaderboards
Some competitions also have tournament leaderboards (such as Web.Comp) and these may have different rules about the display of personal information.
Game Tournaments and Test Case Tournaments
Game tournaments and test case tournaments have the same leaderboard rules as the points leaderboard. Full names and schools are only visible to other students and teachers at the same institution. Students and teachers at other schools will only see a first name, and the institution will be listed as "A school in [State, Country]".

Voting Tournaments
For Voting Tournament leaderboards, all users will see the institution listed as "A school in [State, Country]". No student names are displayed. This is to make the voting system fairer! The leaderboard looks exactly the same to all users.
